RESERVATION POLICIES & GUIDELINES
(Read before making a reservation)

Hours of Operation:

  • Those unaffiliated with UCCS:
    • 8:00 am - 8:00 pm on weekdays
    • 10:00 am - 8:00 pm on weekends
  • UCCS alumni and UCCS Downtown donors:
    • 7:30 am - 10:00 pm on weekdays
    • 9:00 am - 10:00 pm on weekends

Reservation Lead Time:

  • Those unaffiliated with UCCS can make reservations up to 3 months in advance.

Free Time/Paid Time:

  • Everyone gets 27 free hours per week (such as using all three spaces for an entire 9 hour day, one space for 9 hours for three days in a row, etc). Each additional 27 hours of usage requires either a non-refundable donation of $75, or a catering order.
  • If you host an event in which you charge for attendance, fundraise, or sell anything, 10% of proceeds must be donated to UCCS Downtown.

Cancellations & No Shows:

  • We do our best to accommodate even last-minute changes. However, if you fail to inform us of a cancellation and do not show up for your reserved time, you will be required to donate $100 to UCCS Downtown before future reservation requests will be approved.

Food and Alcohol:

  • $150 worth of food and non-alcoholic beverages can be brought in for each daily event. Food or beverage needs over $150 are required to go through UCCS Catering (they typically require 10 business days notice). If UCCS Catering is not able to accommodate your request, you may use external catering services. To place a catering order, work with UCCS Downtown staff, who will connect you with a catering representative.
  • UCCS Downtown does not have a liquor license, so neither we nor our guests can sell alcohol at events. However...
    • If your event has 10 people or fewer, you may bring alcohol to serve at your event.
    • If your event has more than 10 people, you need to purchase and donate the alcohol to UCCS at least 24 hrs in advance of your event. You then need to hire a bartender via UCCS Catering (4 hour minimum, $50 per hour) to serve the drinks.
    • Unconsumed alcohol is unable to be returned.

Children and Pets:

  • All children must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times. Staff cannot take responsibility for monitoring the safety or behavior of unattended children.
  • UCCS Downtown strives to provide an atmosphere conducive to work and study, and children are expected to use the space in a quiet, orderly manner just as we expect from all visitors. Loud, noisy or disruptive behavior is inappropriate and children, as well as the responsible adult, will be asked to leave if this type of behavior persists.
  • Pets or other animals are prohibited in campus buildings with the exception of animals used for academic purposes or Assistance Animals. For more information, please refer to the UCCS policy regarding animals on campus.
