Reservation Policies & Guidelines
UCCS Downtown reserves the right to refuse service for any reason.
Programs held at UCCS Downtown must not contradict the mission, values, or policies of the University.
Hours of Operation:
- Weekdays:
- 8:00 am - 8:00 pm (for those unaffiliated with UCCS)
- 7:30 am - 9:00 pm (for UCCS Alumni and UCCS Downtown donors)
- Weekends:
- 10:00 am - 8:00 pm (for those unaffiliated with UCCS)
- 9:00 am - 8:00 pm (for UCCS Alumni and UCCS Downtown donors)
Reservation Lead Time:
- Two months in advance (for those unaffiliated with UCCS)
- Three months in advance (for UCCS Alumni and UCCS Downtown donors)
Becoming a UCCS Downtown Donor:
- Generous local donors like you are how we are able to keep UCCS Downtown free for everyone! If you would like to become a donor and have access to the previously mentioned benefits, please visit the UCCS Downtown Donation page and then forward your confirmation email to downtown@uccs.edu. Donor amounts are based on a sliding scale related to organization size. View UCCS Downtown Donor Benefit details here.
Free Time/Paid Time:
- Everyone gets 27 free hours per week (such as using all three spaces for an entire 9 hour day, one space for 9 hours for three days in a row, etc). Each additional 27 hours of usage requires a non-refundable donation of $75.
- If you host an event in which you charge for attendance, fundraise, or sell anything, 10% of proceeds must be donated to UCCS Downtown via check or the donor page mentioned above.
Types of Events:
- We are happy to host anything that falls under "professional meeting or event", such as board meetings, classes, conferences, receptions, lectures, presentations, office retreats, co-working space, etc.
- We are not able to accommodate birthday parties, graduation parties, baby showers, holiday parties, or other such events.
Cancellations & No Shows:
- We do our best to accommodate even last-minute changes. However, if you fail to inform us of a cancellation and do not show up for your reserved time, you will be required to donate $100 to UCCS Downtown before future reservation requests will be approved.
Food and Alcohol:
- Up to $300 worth of food and beverages can be brought in for each daily event. Food or beverage needs over $300 are required to go through UCCS Catering (they typically require 10 business days notice). If UCCS Catering is not able to accommodate your request, you may use external catering services. To place a catering order, work with UCCS Downtown staff, who will connect you with a catering representative.
- UCCS Downtown does not have a liquor license, so neither we nor our guests can distribute alcohol at events.
Children and Pets:
- All children must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times. Staff cannot take responsibility for monitoring the safety or behavior of unattended children.
- UCCS Downtown strives to provide an atmosphere conducive to work and study, and children are expected to use the space in a quiet, orderly manner just as we expect from all visitors. Loud, noisy or disruptive behavior is inappropriate and children, as well as the responsible adult, will be asked to leave if this type of behavior persists.
- Pets or other animals are prohibited in campus buildings with the exception of animals used for academic purposes or Assistance Animals. For more information, please refer to the UCCS policy regarding animals on campus.
